We are happy to announce that local game enthusiast Thomas Roache will be showing off the game he has been working on. Make sure to check out demos on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 at this year’s MechaniCon!

Welcome to the Tabletop Miniatures Skirmish Game based on Robotech from the Japanese version of the Anime Series Macross. Robotech Battles is a 3D Tabletop Skirmish Game where you can either be human or the alien Zentradi. You are the pilot in control of Devastating Transformable Mecha battling for the earth’s survival, or the alien commander in control of the hordes of giant aliens bent on domination. Aerial Dogfights, missile trails filling the sky, and Mecha on Mecha combat give you the player, a taste of the Robotech Universe. Play out your favorite scenes from the series in this skirmish game where the fate of the First Robotech war can be decided on the results of your battles.

A few simple things about the game:
The game is an action/reaction based skirmish game where your pilots have the means of fully using the environment they are in to travel through the landscape (this includes up and down as well).
Missiles are the third player and act independantly once fired and be careful if they miss.
Terrain can be targeted and will blow up if your not careful.
Set-up is fast and gameplay is faster.

For more information on the game and to download a copy of the latest rules. Go to:

Tim K., AKA Necros, will be running demos of the new game he has been working on at MechaniCon this year.

Demo Schedule:
Saturday, November 5 (New Schedule) in the Brandywine Ballroom starting at 10am.

Blackwater Gulch is a tabletop skirmish game based on the Wild West. The game takes place in and around a fictional town of the same name, located “somewhere down south”. It’s the late 1800′s and the gold rush has brought fortune-seekers to town after the big discovery made nationwide news. This brought a population boom and the town has become overcrowded with unsavory sorts and not enough lawmen to go around.

The heart of the game is the campaign system. Similar to a RPG, you start your gang with a handful of models and each member of the gang choose different professions and will earn experience along the way. Each game can be based on a different story or scenario with everything from straight up gunfights to train robberies and jailbreaks. Gangs can start out with as little as 5 miniatures, and grow as big as you and your friends want them to be. Gameplay is simple, fast and fun. For more info on the game and to download the preview rules, visit our website at www.blackwatergulch.com.

Here is the latest info:

Howdy Folks!

After a year of playtesting, tweaking and revisions, Blackwater Gulch is finally done!

Blackwater Gulch is a skirmish game based on the Wild West. You can configure your models with any stats, skills or equipment you wish and the games are fast and fun. You only need a handfull of models to get started and your gangs can be as big or as small as you and your friends want them to be.

For now the rules are available in PDF format. An ePub version for your favorite handheld devices and tablets will be out in the next few days and a print-on-demand book should be ready in about 2 weeks if all goes well, which will cost around $20.

Head on over to our brand new website at http://www.blackwatergulch.com to get the rules now!

Also, on Saturday, November 5th I’ll be at The Mechanicon in West Chester, PA, running demos of the game all day, probably starting around noon. So if you want to check it out, feel free to stop by for a demo!
